Starting with macOS Sierra (10.12), any application distributed outside the Mac App Store runs from a randomized path. This prevents ultraspeech-player from working normally (the data are not "seen" by the software). Until I find an elegant solution to this problem, you can disable this security mecanism (for ultraspeech-player only), using the following procedure (which requires admin priviledges):

1) Open a Terminal (you'll find the Terminal app in the Applications then Utility folder).

2) Enter the following command line (and press enter): sudo xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/ultraspeech-player-v1.3/ultraspeech-player-v1.3.app

(this procedure assumes you installed ultraspeech-player-v1.3 in the Applications/ folder)
